that as a further action of Article 3 of Government Regulation No. 15/1977, it is deemed necessary to stipulate the regulation concerning health of dairy cattle for breeding imported to in Indonesia.
DECREE OF THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE CONCERNING HEALTH OF DAIRY CATTLE FOR BREEDING TO BE IMPORTED FROM AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND INTO INDONESIA
As used in this Decree :
Dairy cattle for breeding imported into Indonesia shall be accompanied by an Animal Health Certificate issued by a Veterinarian or an authorized official from the country of origin stating that the following requirements have been complied with:
A. Animal health situation in farm area of dairy cattle for breeding:
B. The dairy cattle for breeding referred to in Point A have been inspected by an authorized government veterinarian in the country of origin with negative result which includes:
C. The dairy cattle for breeding referred to in Point B shall be freed from ectoparasite and prevention has conducted for leptospirosis, anaplasmosis, babesiosis and clostridiosis, by authorized government official in the country of origin.
D. The dairy cattle for breeding referred to in Point C shall be kept separately from other cattle from the beginning of the first inspection until to the time of transportation.
E. The dairy cattle for breeding referred to in Point D shall at the time of loading into the means of conveyance be in good health and free from ectoparasite and contagious disease symptoms.
(1) Compliance with the requirements referred to in Article 2 in the country of origin of the dairy cattle for breeding shall be confirmed by Indonesian veterinarian.
(2) Expenses incurred in the implementation of the regulation as mentioned in Paragraph (1) shall be defrayed by the importer.
(3) The designation of the Indonesian veterinarian and the procedure for carrying out the confirmation shall be prescribed by the Director General of Livestock.
The original copy of the Animal Health Certificate as referred to in Article 2 shall be surrendered to the master of means of conveyance whereas the copies shall be submitted to the Indonesian Legislation in the exporting country of the dairy cattle for breeding, and to the Indonesian veterinarian.
(1) The means of conveyance transporting the dairy cattle for breeding from the port of export in the country of origin to the port of destination in Indonesia shall make a direct voyage without calling at any other port.
(2) The means of conveyance as referred to in Paragraph (1) shall not be permitted to carry animal/livestock other than the dairy cattle for breeding agreed upon.
(3) Whenever there is an occurrence of Foot and Mouth disease and/or contagious bovine pleuropneumonia and/or Rinderpest during the voyage:
(4) The dairy cattle for breeding referred to in Paragraph (3) shall be refused entry.
Direction for the implementation of this Decree shall be set forth by the Director General of Livestock.
This Decree shall come into effect on the date of issuance.
